Providing a safe, nonjudgmental workspace for veterans to come and learn how to work with their hands.

I started Aiken Woodworks with the vision to establish a safe place for Veterans from all branches of the Armed Services, to come to learn and possibly teach others woodworking techniques.
Our goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental workspace for veterans to come and learn how to work with their hands and possibly teach other veterans how to do the same. I work toward connecting veterans who may have common ground to establish an open line of communication and possible friendship. We hope that we provide veterans a safe working space and help prevent any of them from suffering in silence because of PTSD. We want to help each veteran learn how to take pride in what they do and know they have people who care about them and want to help. Aiken Woodworks will always take pride in every product we put our name on and ensure a Veteran will work on each project.

I have built hundreds of different design pieces for over 75 clients and 10 different businesses.
I have been doing woodworking since 1990, first as a soldier doing Humanitarian missions, building schools and villages in Panama, Honduras, and Ecuador. Then as a hobby until 2016, when I became project manager building houses. I have come to realize that my true passion was to build different designs and create one-of-a-kind pieces. I then took my passion and combined it with my desire to help soldiers, such as myself, who want to work with others, feel comfortable talking with while creating other people’s dream pieces.
